Development Wins National Award

"The Green Strathkinness" which is being developed by Headon Developments has won the Best Development (small) in the 2013 Homes for Scotland awards. The development drew an array of favourable comments from the judging panel which was chaired by Bill Jamieson ex executive editor of the Scotsman and included the chair of Planning in Scotland and the Royal Institute of Architects Scotland amongst others. The 2013 awards drew 87 entries over the various categories. The awards were presented at the HFS annual lunch and awards ceremony which was attended by over 800 guests at the EICC in Edinburgh. The keynote speaker was Nicola Sturgeon the Deputy First Minister. The Homes for Scotland awards have grown in stature over the 11 years since they were introduced and are keenly contested. This year saw a record entry.

Joe Headon said that it is a huge honour to have "The Green" judged as the best small development in Scotland. It is very gratifying to know that quality of the vision we have for "The Green Strathkinness" has been recognized by the judging panel. A Homes for Scotland award is very much coveted within the industry For all the team involved in "The Green" it is very satisfying.
